DESIGN COSTS

Design fees are usually based on a square foot price that varies between $2.00-4.00/sq.ft. of heated living area, depending on the design complexity and level of service needed. The majority of projects have been $3 and below. Non-living area such as garages and basements are usually 1/2 the cost of the heated living area. On certain projects, we simply charge hourly from start to finish. We can give a closer estimate after assessing your project and even more precise costs are presented after the preliminary design process is complete.

A simple design agreement is signed by both parties and returned with a deposit to begin work. The deposit amount will vary from project to project, based on its size and scope.

Other fees such as travel expenses, consultants, engineers and copies/mailing are additional and at cost.

Changes after final plans are submitted: $55/hr.
